Solar park installations
A sustainable renewable energy solution
The construction of a solar park involves many different companies. It all starts with planning and applying for building and other permits.
At the site, the work includes leveling the area, building roads and fences, underground and overhead cabling, foundations for the mounting structures, mounting system and panel installation, transformers, and connection to the national power grid.
SolarStaff’s scope of work covers mounting system and panel installation, as well as low-voltage electrical work for the power plant. We also offer services such as local logistics, snow removal, security, and more. Local logistics includes unloading pallets from trucks and transporting them to the installation site.
Together with our partners, we can also provide a complete package that includes foundations for the mounting systems.
The foundations for the mounting structures are done first by another company, which installs the mounting posts by driving or drilling them into the ground. The posts must be firmly anchored in the soil, as their job is to hold the mounting system and panels in place regardless of snow or wind loads.
Once the posts are in the ground, we assemble the metal mounting structures on top of the posts. This is mechanical installation work. After the mounting structures are assembled, the panels are attached to them. The most commonly used mounting model holds two panels stacked vertically. The panels measure approximately 115 x 240 cm and weigh 35–40 kg.
Once the panels are installed, electrical work follows, including wiring the panels in series and pulling cables to the inverter.
Installation work is carried out year-round. Most of our installers perform mechanical installation, while a smaller group handles electrical tasks. Construction of an industrial-scale solar park typically takes 6 to 24 months.
We are a multicultural and open company. Both Finnish and English are our working languages.
